    Four lakes to choose from: Peninsula Lake, Fairy Lake, Vernon & Mary Lake. Pike, large & small mouth bass and lake trout are the main species. The public boat ramp is right beside the property.

Winter Fun
  • Outdoor facilities at our door include lit groomed skating rink on the lake, heated ice fishing hut, and cross country ski trails when the lake is frozen.
  • Multitude of Snowmobile Trails, both local and Trans Ontario Provincial. We are located on Algonquin Snowmobile Club Trail 7 on the North shore of Peninsula Lake. Trans Ontario Provicial trail, C114, is right across the lake.

  • Cross Country Skiing at Arrowhead Provincial Park, Algonquin Provincial Park, Leslie M. Frost Centre, Grassmere, Deerhurst and Grandview. Rentals are available at Algonquin Outfitters.
  • The local Downhill Skiing and Snowboarding facility is Hidden Valley Highlands. They have 3 chairlifts (1 quad), 1 handle bar tow and 11 slopes. Night skiing Thursday to Saturday. Full line of rentals & lessons - 1-800-398-9555. Discounted lift tickets may be purchased at our resort.
  • For Downhill Tubing and Snowboarding in Huntsville contact "Rock Ridge Recreation Park" at (705) 788-7275
  • Local Winter Carnivals (visit the Dorset Snowball) start the last weekend of January and will continue throughout February.
  • Sometime in March, locals will have tours showing how sap is collected and made into Maple Syrup.

  • Boat Cruises:
    R.M.S. SEGWUN, one of the original Steamships of Muskoka, departs from Gravenhurst and cruises the Muskoka Lakes.
    The ISLAND QUEEN departs from Parry Sound and during the cruise will pass 30,000 islands in Georgian Bay.
    LADY MUSKOKA leaves from the Muskoka Riverside Inn in Bracebridge and tours along the Muskoka River. Highlights include Santa's Village, Millionaire's row, Beaumaris and historic sunken artifacts.
    TOUCH OF CLASS leaves from the town dock in Huntsville and cruises the local lakes.

    We are 32 km (about a 20 minutes drive) from the West gate of the park.
